Pastor Chad Deerman - Chairman of the A/G Michigan Coaching Network Chad Deerman has been the lead pastor of Faith Alive Church in West Branch, Michigan since January of 2002.  Under his leadership the church has grown from 19 people to hundreds of strong, faith filled believers on 3 different campuses. Faith Alive Church is a multi-site church that is impacting many communities in Northern Michigan. Chad coaches pastors and church leaders throughout the Michigan District in church planting and ministry development.  He has a heart for pastors and wants to come along side them and help fulfill the vision for the local church. Chad offers two levels of coaching:  Individual coaching—Chad meets one on one with a pastor or church leader. He has received his Certificate in Leadership Coaching from Purdue University and has been trained in coaching for Natural Church Development. Joe uses coaching in the Community Service program at Edge Church and is pursuing ways to bring coaching to the community as an outreach of the church.  He is involved with the Michigan District Coaching Network. (Pr. 20:5) Mary Selzer - Associate Certified Coach  Mary's desire is to add value to the coaching world through rich coaching, unique concepts and growing relationships. Since 2007, she has coached over 100 ministers, ministers' wives, church leaders, church planters and lay people. She has received ACC-level certification with ICF and is currently pursuing PCC certification. Mary is an active member of PCAM (Professional Coach Association of Michigan), participates with the Assemblies of God National Coach Team, serves on the GEAR Coaching Newsletter committee, and has received training through Natural Church Development to coach churches through the NCD assessment process. She currently is assisting the Assemblies of God, Michigan District to create a coaching culture among ministers by offering coach training and creating a coach network within the  District. This effort will create guidelines for coaching within the district and train coaches who will in turn coach church planters and pastors of district supervised churches. Mary has led several “Introduction to Coaching” classes in Southeast Michigan, and is certified through Coach Approach Ministries to facilitate the Building Blocks for Powerful Coaching class. She designed and developed The Coaching Game, a  training tool that reinforces coaching concepts and skills practice. She also created BRIDGE (Bringing Responsibility, Independence, Dignity, Growth & Encouragement), a program designed specifically for individuals transitioning from rehabilitation or prison through the process of  reentering society. BRIDGE is currently being used at Life Challenge of Southeast Michigan as well as the Michigan Department of Corrections.
